Belarus Reports Br6.2 trln Budget Surplus in Jan-Oct 2014
OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' Finance Ministry posted a republican budget surplus of 6.2 trillion billion Belarusian rubles (Br) (U.S. USD 573.543 million at the NBB rate) in January-October 2014, or 1% of GDP, the Finance Ministry said in a release.
The republican budget indicates spending and revenues of the central administration, whereas the consolidated budget also includes local budgets.
Republican budget revenues amounted to 105.1 trillion rubles (USD 9.723 billion) in January-October 2014, or 81.2% of the adjusted target for the whole year.
Republican budget expenditures reached 98.9 trillion rubles (USD 9.149 billion), 75.9% of the target for 2014.
Revenues from the value-added tax amounted to 61 trillion rubles (USD 5.643 billion, 91.7% of the year target), from income tax - Br16.2 trillion (USD 1.499 billion million, 78.1%), excises - Br17.5 trillion (USD 1.619 billion million, 76.8%), from foreign economic activities 14.7 trillion rubles (USD 1.36 billion), 56.5% of the target.
Revenues of the Labour and Welfare Ministry's social security fund (SSF) are estimated at Br77.6 trillion (USD 7.179 billion, 81.6%).
Tax arrears totalled Br456.7 billion (USD 42.248 million), up 2.3-fold month on month as of November 1, 2014.
Revenues of the state administration budget (republican budget, local budgets and SSF) totalled Br257.2 trillion in January-October 2014 (USD 23.793 billion), 82.9% of the adjusted annual plan; expenditures - Br243.2 trillion (USD 22.498 billion, 78.5%).
