OREANDA-NEWS. AvtoVAZ workers on December 14th are going to hold a strike in Togliatti. The union demands an end of mass layoffs and wage increases. The head of the union is going to start the preparing of a strike, which may lead to the suspension of vehicles.

According to "Za rulem.RF”, the meeting in December will be a continuation of the action from October 31st - then AvtoVAZ workers also favor the growth of wages and policy change of AvtoVAZ to mass layoffs of employees. In addition, the protesters will be asked to change the order of payment of a single premium in the amount of 26 thousand rubles. The plant's management decided to allocate it to those who did not leave holiday once for the last 10 months. In this case, employees of AvtoVAZ did not know about this condition before.

The head of the plant trade union "Unity", Peter Zolotarev, said that employees are willing to go on strike if the top managers won’t begin negotiations with the ordinary staff. "We will offer, if you do not listen to us, do not want to sit at the negotiating table, enter the beginning of the strike, that is, to provide the preparation to strike ... This is a temporary refusal to work. Simply there is no other way to negotiate”, - he said.

According to trade union, activists received official permission from the city authorities for participation in a strike of one thousands of people. Trade union expects to gather more people than the last time, when the strike took place in time between shifts. The official representative of AvtoVAZ has not commented yet for "Za rulem.RF" the strike and its possible consequences.

The president of AvtoVAZ, Bo Andersson, pays the organization of the working process special attention. Company in 2014 adopted the 2-year program of repair of dining and rest rooms. The plant provides workers with hot meals for a third of its value, and the night shift employees have meals free from October 1st. In addition, the company with the help of the municipal transport companies is transporting workers to and from work.
