Bahrain Bourse Starts Awareness Sessions on Saving and Investment Essentials

OREANDA-NEWS. On Saturday, 6th December 2014, Bahrain Bourse in collaboration with BIBF launched an awareness session on Saving and Investment Essentials, which included sessions in both English and Arabic, in order to increase investment awareness among Bahrainis and non-Bahrainis in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The English session was held from 8 am to 12 noon, while the Arabic session was held from 1 am to 5 pm.

Various topics were covered in the awareness session, including the importance of savings and alternatives available in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as the investment products available to investors in the Kingdom. The session also highlighted the concepts of risk and return, and educated the participants on how to build their investment portfolios and how to read financial statements. The session concluded with introducing Bahrain Bourse and the different sectors of companies traded on the Bourse.

About 35 participants, from different age groups and professions joined the sessions held in the Bourse premises, and conducted by highly qualified professionals from BIBF faculty.

The sessions will be held on monthly basis where the other two upcoming sessions will take place on Saturday 10th January and 21st February 2015.

This initiative comes in line with the Bourse’s strategy that aims to develop its different aspects of work, which investment awareness is one of its main pillars, implemented in cooperation with BIBF.
