OREANDA-NEWS. The SK MOST Group of Companies presented the major projects of the Group at the VIII International Exhibition "Transport of Russia" in Moscow on 4-6 December. The finished projects and those under construction including the bridge to Russky Island, the combined Olympic route in Sochi, new sections of Moscow subway lines, the Roki Tunnel, a Selemzha River new bridge, and designs of bridges over the rivers Zeya and Amur in the Amur Region were presented at the Gostiny Dvor Center, at the company's booth.
Today the SK MOST Group of Companies is working over the entire Russian territory - from the Far East where the Kiparisovsky Tunnel was commissioned to Kaliningrad where the Berlin Bridge over the rivers Staraya Pregolya and Novaya Pregolya is under reconstruction, from the Yamal Peninsula in the North where an Arctic Port Sabetta is under construction to the Caucasian mountains where traffic is now open through the Roki Tunnel. The Group presented about a dozen projects at the booth, which are of a paramount importance for the development of Russian transport system.
A cable-stayed bridge over Eastern Bosphorus Strait in Vladivostok, which was built as part of the federal program "Development of Vladivostok as a Center of International Cooperation in the Asia-Pacific Region," and a combined Adler - Alpika-Service Mountain Resort route, which is the most complex infrastructure project of the 2014 Olympics, are the symbols of the Group. The builders have driven 12 tunnels that are about 30 kilometers long; they have built 23 highways bridges and 22 railway bridges for the Olympics. Both railway and highway sections of the Olympic route were put in service in November last year.
Several tunnels were commissioned in the autumn of 2014: the Roki Tunnel was opened for motorway traffic and the Kiparisovsky Tunnel and the Mana Tunnel were opened for train traffic. An overpass has been commissioned at the 31st kilometer of the Moscow Inner Beltway.
Projects on the inner belt railway of the Moscow Railway Line will be completed next year.
The International Exhibition "Transport of Russia" is held annually as part of the "Transport Week," which brings together a range of business, scientific and cultural events attended to by transportation industry professionals. More than two thousand participants including CEOs of major companies and representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and relevant government bodies met here to discuss the future development of the transport sector in Russia.
