At a conference to cover this event, Poland's Ambassador to Moldova Artur Michalski said this amount included EUR 90 million meant for restructuring and modernizing the agricultural sector of Moldova and for increasing quotas on high value-added agricultural products.

As he noted, Moldova should invest in quality of its services and products to achieve the results it seeks to, for example to conquer the European market, to earn the importers’ trust, etc. Representatives of Moldova’s enterprises attending the press conference were granted an opportunity to talk with their Polish counterparts, to exchange with the opinions and to establish cooperation with them.

The loan has been issued for 12 years at an interest rate of 3% and with a 3 year-long grace period. The beneficiaries will be selected in line with the principle “He who comes first is first to be served”. The Ambassador noted that the access to the lending would be provided to beneficiaries regardless of their political views and geographical location.
