OREANDA-NEWS. December 11, 2014. The head of the Chamber of Commerce of Moldova said this during the first meeting of the Committee on enterprises from the service sector, stressing that it is therefore very important to develop this area.

The aim of the Committee is to benefit from signing of the Agreement on deep and comprehensive free trade area between Moldova and the EU (DCFTA). The objective of the Committee on services is to help enterprises to prepare documentation in accordance with the terms of DCFTA and open for them the maximum opportunities from this agreement. Valeriu Lazar highlighted some of the main problems faced by the entrepreneurs today, among them: lack of information about funding programs and the EU requirements, and the necessity for education and training.

At the meeting the Committee identified an action plan for 2015, which will still be added. At the moment it includes activities aimed at promoting public-private dialogue. In particular, it is planned to organize discussions on the fiscal policy. In addition, the Economic Council at the Prime Minister will develop proposals for the development of the service sector and organize an informational campaign about the DCFTA aspects. In addition, in the first quarter of 2015, the Committee together with the Ministry of economy will develop an action plan for the implementation of DCFTA in the service sector.

As InfoMarket informed before, the objectives of the Committee are: to create a mechanism for the public-private dialogue between business and the authorities, as well as the development of proposals on the improvement of legislation and approval on the basis of certain judicial acts, which will be aimed at the development of this sector. The Chairman of the Committee was elected the rector of the cooperative-commercial University Larisa Shavga.

The Committee for service enterprises has become the third Committee, initiated by the Chamber in conjunction with the Association of European businesses, with the support of the project "EU - informing and building the capacity of economic agents and financial assistance from the government of Sweden, through the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The first two committees: the Committee on agriculture and the Committee on industry.
