ICBC Rolls Out Credit Certificate Self-Service
OREANDA-NEWS. December 10, 2014. In recent years, with increasing Chinese residents going abroad for travel and study, the demand for banks to issue credit certificates has kept rising. For the convenience of customers, ICBC has lately launched credit certificate self-service.
By logging on to the internet banking platform of ICBC, customers can complete issuing a credit certificate on seven categories of assets -- deposits, T-bonds, wealth management products, funds, insurance, precious metals and loans, and print out certificate at any local outlet of ICBC.
To issue a credit certificate, a customer only needs to log on to ICBC’s internet banking platform, click the “Credit Certificate” menu in the “My Account” column, select the type and the number of copies of credit certificate, and confirm the related financial products on which he/she applies for a credit certificate. After successful application, the customer will receive an SMS notifying the credit certificate has been issued and reminding him/her to print the certificate out at an ICBC outlet with his/her ID document. Upon successful application for a credit certificate, the customer may also appoint an outlet and get to the outlet within the appointed time to enjoy priority queuing.
According to an ICBC official, in addition to issuing credit certificates, the Bank can also provide a variety of mature financial products to customers going abroad, including foreign exchange remittance, settlement and sale of foreign exchange, traveler’s cheque, credit card, overseas study loan, remittance of pre-settled foreign exchange, and overseas financial services. With its global service network spanning 40 countries and territories across six continents, the Bank is capable of offering “one-stop” overseas financial services to effectively meet customer demand for various types of financial services.
