OREANDA-NEWS. December 10, 2014. Board meeting was held under the chairmanship of Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Erlan Idrissov. The meeting was devoted to the Address of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to the Nation "Nurly Zhol - The path to the Future."

In his speech, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan noted that the new Address has become a reaction of our country to the changes in the system of international relations. "There is transformation of the world, changes of eras, instability growth in Eurasia, unprecedented growth of terrorism, economic crisis, fluctuations in energy markets evoke anxiety - Head of State sees it all clearly, analyze, discuss with world leaders and respond to external threats. A series of high-level contacts in various international venues, including the ASEM has been held this year, especially in the second half. There were so many visits of heads of foreign states in Astana, which confirm that Kazakhstan is perceived as a stable country with a clear vision for its future development," he said.

E. Idrissov said "Nurly Zhol" is the quintessence of challenges for all state agencies during external instability and the global economic crisis. "The Address is aimed at supporting the welfare of the people of Kazakhstan, to protect populations from shocks, the creation of new jobs. Astana connection with all regions of the country through infrastructural changes will create vital arteries for many years to come. Many of our foreign partners compare "Nurly Zhol" with the economic program of the US President Franklin D. Roosevelt, which allowed America to overcome the financial and economic crisis in the early 1930s. And let this comparison is "lame" in the sense that Kazakhstan does not interfere with depression in no way, it is the similarity of the programs in terms of the scale of the proposed new economic policy and its implications for our country," Minister said.

Foreign Minister said that the new economic policy of Kazakhstan is organically combined with the objectives of the Foreign Policy Concept of the country for 2014-2020. It also perfectly complements the already implemented major international economic projects, such as international transport corridors Western Europe-Western China, North-South, the international exhibition "Expo-2017", etc. "In this regard, our ministry has specific tasks to explain the program and attract foreign partners to implement it," he concluded.

Vice Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Ashykbayev made a report on the measures taken by the Ministry to explain the Address of the President of Kazakhstan abroad. He noted that the Address was translated into many foreign languages, its main provisions communicated to management, public, business and research communities in many countries. In general, there is a positive assessment of the priority program "Nurly Zhol" by foreign partners of Kazakhstan.

During the board it was noted that the work on explanation of the Address would not only promote the strengthening of positive perception of modern Kazakhstan, but also further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign partners, investment growth in our country, in the end, economic development, improvement of welfare of its people, achievement of objectives of the program "Nurly Zhol" and the Strategy "Kazakhstan 2050".

Following the meeting, board resolution of the Kazakh Ministtry of Foreign Affairs was accepted.
