OREANDA-NEWS. December 09, 2014. This was discussed at the meeting of the head of the General state tax Inspectorate Ion Prisacaru with the tax Advisor of the Program of Organization for economic cooperation and development (OCED) "Tax inspectors without borders" (IFFF) Bert Coster and a long-term expert of the Tax Agency Sweden Carina Silbo.

The head of the general state tax Inspectorate noted that there was an ambitious plan for the reform and modernization of the national tax authority, the project aimed at attracting foreign tax experts to conduct tax inspections, which is an important element to achieve the objectives. During the meeting the parties noted that the support of international development partners is extremely important for the European modernization of the State Tax service of Moldova and stressed the importance of coordinating the efforts of the GSTI development.

It was emphasized that the involvement in implementation of financial control specialists from abroad will ensure the transfer of experience of GSTI employees and can significantly increase the effectiveness of their work. It was also noted that GSTI has completed and submitted the form to IFFF Secretariat, requesting the assistance of experts in the field of tax control on the aspects related to control-based initiatives of IFFF.

Referring to this initiative, Bert Coster noted that this program is beneficial and useful because it is based on practice and experience of the tax inspectors from the European tax administrations and can provide real support to the GSTI in this area. In his turn, Carina Silbo stressed the importance of this initiative.

The parties agreed on the possibility of implementation of the proposed project with the participation of employees of the Tax agencies of Sweden, considering that GSTI has already signed with the establishment of cooperation Agreement for the period of 3 years.
