OREANDA-NEWS. Mosgaz OJSC has concluded a voluntary civil liability agreement with Ingosstrakh Insurance Company. The insurance period under the agreement is from December 31, 2013 to December 30, 2014.

In addition, the liability of Mosgaz OJSC as the owner of a hazardous facility was insured in another federal insurance company pursuant to the compulsory liability insurance under the provisions of the Federal Law No. 225-FZ of July 27, 2010. The insurance program compensates for the damage to life, health and property of the victims of the accident at the hazardous facility. The insurance limits are set according to the effective legislation.

To recap, on November 16 there were fire outbreaks in apartments in several apartment blocks in the Presnensky district of Moscow due to a failure in the gas supply system. As a result of the accident, several people were injured.

Thus, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company can take part in the settlement of loss and pay compensation to the victims if the insurance limit under the compulsory insurance contract is not enough to compensate for the full amount of the damage inflicted.
