OREANDA-NEWS. December 08, 2014. These documents, as well as the Memorandum of understanding on development and the beginning of the exchange of the wine trade and the final Protocol was signed by the parties upon completion of the eighth meeting of the Moldovan-Chinese intergovernmental Commission on trade and economic cooperation, held in Beijing.

According to the Ministry of economy, Moldova was headed by the Deputy Minister of economy Octavian Calmic. During the meeting the sides discussed the issues regarding the co-creation of economic "areas" of the "Silk road", the increase of exports of Moldovan wines and other agricultural products to China.

The parties also discussed diversification of markets, promotion of the Moldovan-Chinese cooperation in the field of agriculture, technical-economic and investment cooperation, attracting Chinese companies to participate in projects related to the development of infrastructure and construction of the railways. During the official visit to China Octavian Calmic had held bilateral meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Chinese Commerce, Beijing economic and technological development, companies Huawei, Sino Hidro, Sepco, international company AVIC, and China Exim Bank.

Following the meeting of the Moldovan-Chinese intergovernmental Commission and bilateral meetings, the parties agreed in the nearest future to develop a road map for the economic chain "Silk road", to provide a list of viable investment projects, to establish a joint working group to develop a free trade Agreement between Moldova and China.

The talk was about the participation of the Chinese investors in modernization of the railways of Moldova and funding of projects in this area, contributing to the development of marketing in the field of wine trade, establishment of more active cooperation between the ministries of agriculture of the both states, the continuation of closer cooperation for investment in industrial parks and free economic areas on the territory of Moldova.
