OREANDA-NEWS. December 08, 2014. Sberbank was the strategic partner for the IV All-Russian Corporate Management Forum and IX National Director of the Year Award, which are major annual events in corporate management. The forum and awards ceremony.

As in previous years, event organizers were the Independent Directors Association and Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, in cooperation with PwC.

During the corporate management forum a session on corporate management as an instrument for stable business growth took place with the support of Sberbank. The session was moderated by Bella Zlatkis, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank. “I am convinced that quality corporate management has a positive effect on efficiency at companies, for the investment climate overall, and creates more convenient conditions for business,” said Bella Zlatkis, during the session.

Speakers during the Sberbank session included chairmen and members of boards of directors, and top managers of major public and private companies: Leonid Kazinets (Chairman of the Board and Owner of Barkli Corporation), Vadim Dymov (Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dymov company), Boris Kim (Chairman of the Board of Directors of QIWI Group), Vitaly Podolskiy (Independent Director of OJSC Cherkizovo Group), Nadia Wells (Independent Director of Sberbank of Russia), Jacob Grapengiesser (Partner at East Capital investment fund), and others.

Member of the judging panel for the National Director of the Year Award and winner in the 2013 nomination for Chairman of the Board of Directors (winning the nomination as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the National Settlement Depository), Bella Zlatkis, took part in this year’s awards ceremony for the nomination of “Chairman of the Board of Directors: contribution to developing corporate management.”

Vladimir Mau, Member of the Supervisory Board of Sberbank, is the 2014 laureate in the nomination for Independent Director.
