OREANDA-NEWS. December 05, 2014. In Budapest with the assistance of the Hungarian National Trading House held Uzbek-Hungarian business forum with participation of representatives of 30 companies of Hungary. It discussed the prospects for widespread use of economic potential and opportunities of the two countries.

During the event, the Hungarian side was informed about the achievements of the country's during the independence years, consistent and ongoing large-scale reforms in the political, social and economic spheres, as well as the current economic situation in Uzbekistan. Special attention was paid to the privileges and benefits for foreign investors created in FIEZ “Navoi”, SIZ “Angren” and “Jizzakh”.

The two sides exchanged views on the development of cooperation in trade and economy, science and technology, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, textile and food industry, greater involvement of Hungarian companies in the privatization process in Uzbekistan.

Hungarian participants positively assessed large-scale transformations in the social, economic, political, legal, cultural and humanitarian spheres in the Republic. They emphasized efforts to create favorable environment for investment and production activities of foreign companies and investors.
