OREANDA-NEWS. NIBULON, demonstrating an example of environmentally conscious business, constantly allocates considerable financial resources for the environment protection.

The company is implementing its own ecological welfare strategy that popularizes environmentally friendly and responsible business and aims at preserving the environment and not indifferent attitude to the environment protection problems.

Within the given standard the company regularly carries out measures to prevent natural resources exhaustion. Fish stocking is one of its main form. NIBULON itself maintains the depth level of its operating water areas (a Watermaster Classic IV dredger made in Finland was purchased for this purpose). Thus, the company constantly performs compensatory measures in the water areas of NIBULON's cargo berths, and ecological component in construction of river terminals and elevator complexes positively influences the environment condition.

At all stages of the investment project implementation (since 2009) NIBULON has implemented compensatory measures in the amount of UAH 1.391.528 million for losses in fishery, namely UAH 800.528 thousand by paying contributions to the local budgets where NIBULON performs its works; UAH 591 thousand by stocking the Dnipro and the Southern Bug Rivers, the Kaniv, the Kakhovka and the Kremenchuk Reservoirs with more than 35 tons of fish seed of silver carp and carp.

In November 2014 the company continued to perform compensatory measures in Kyiv region. In particular, according to the project to dredge the designed bottom of operating water area of cargo berth of the transshipment terminal of "Pereyaslavs'ka" branch, there was held fish stocking of the Kaniv Reservoir and the branch water area. Along water access to the terminal that reaches almost 13 km there were released 4,770 units of silver carp (400 g). The amount of expenses for compensatory measures has comprised almost UAH 25 thousand.

NIBULON will continue to implement its own ecological standard. At present there has been started construction of the cargo berth in Bilenke village of Zaporizhzhya region on completion of which the next stage of fish stocking will be performed. There has been planned clearing of navigation path in Kozatske village of Kherson region where the transshipment terminal of "Kozats'ka" branch in located.

The company plans to implement significant projects to dredge limiting areas of navigable path in the Dnipro Reservoir and the Dniprodzerzhynsk Reservoir to improve navigable conditions of waterways of the Southern Bug River from Voznesensk to Mykolayiv city.
