OREANDA-NEWS. By the end of 2014, residents and guests of Ukraine will be able to make free calls to local fixed-line numbers from about 7 000 Ukrtelecom payphones. Since its launch in May 2014, Ukrtelecom social Initiative proved its usefulness and relevance to users. Each month, free local calls from payphones are gaining popularity among customers.

The number of payphone calls has increased almost 4 times and now constitutes 750 thousand calls per month. More than 100 calls is a monthly average for every payphone. Local payphone traffic has increased more than 4 times – up to 1 million minutes per month. The Operator’s offer has been enjoyed in all regions of Ukraine. Most payphone calls are made in big cities such as Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Lviv, and Odesa.

Given the popularity and relevance of this social initiative, the Operator prolongs the term of the offer till the end of 2014. Ukrtelecom is committed to providing the maximum number of the residents of Ukraine with quality and affordable telecommunications services.

We remind you that from May 2014 you don’t need a calling card to make local calls from any Ukrtelecom payphone. There is also no fee charged when calling from payphone to payphone within a city and/or a raion (urban-type settlement, small town, village and other settlements within the same raion) and to Service 800 numbers.
