OREANDA-NEWS. December 04, 2014. S7 Airlines, a member of the oneworld global alliance, once again proved to be in compliance with the international operational safety standards and was awarded the fifth IOSA Certificate.

IOSA1 is an international flight safety standard, which became a mandatory requirement of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) membership in 2008.

In order to receive yet another certificate, S7 Airlines successfully completed the operational safety audit covering all aspects of the carrier’s activities – organizational structures and management, flight execution procedures, flight work and cabin crew performance control, engineering and maintenance and ground service, cargo handling and air safety. The audit is performed every two years. New certificate is valid until December 8, 2016.

“Flight safety is a priority for S7 Airlines. All procedures and technologies of the airline should comply with the stringent international standards. S7 Airlines was included in the IOSA operators list in 2006 and became the second Russian air carrier to successfully complete this audit. Safety maintenance and high quality service also allowed us to become a full member of the oneworld global air alliance in 2010 along with the largest and the best airlines of the world,” - Valery Kulavsky, S7 Airlines Deputy General Director for Quality and Safety, said.
