Mikhail Noskov, CEO at Tele2:

“In 3Q14, we have legally completed the formation of a new federal operator. The financials result from an ongoing integration of the company’s mobile assets. We got a large increase in top line and a planned decrease in EBITDA margin, which was entailed by integration expenses. We are waiting for a positive effect on ARPU and revenues from active development of 3G and 4G mobile networks.

Despite the deal on formation of a new federal operator has been just closed, 3G networks have already appeared in St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Chelyabinsk. By the end of 2014, Tele2 is planning to launch the 3G network in Tambov and the 4G network in Tula. Over 2015, 3G/4G wireless Internet will become available to Tele2 subscribers in over 50 regions. After Rostelecom clients have been switched to a stricter accounting policy, Tele2’s overall subscriber base totaled 35 mn people. In the third quarter Tele2 still performed the lowest churn in the industry – at 7.7%.”
