According to the agency "Auto-Dealer-Yekaterinburg", in January-October of 2014 in Yekaterinburg it was sold 63,192 new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles - it is less by 19% than the same period of the last year. October was the most successful for the urban market for new cars in the last five months - it was sold 6382 cars, which is less by 18% than in October of 2013. Last month, there was one positive achievement for this year - the first time since March, the fall in car sales at the end of one month was less than 20%.

If in September only Renault of the top-10 showed an increase in car sales, then in October, in addition to the French brand, and Skoda can also boast it.

"In October, some brands have achieved some of the best sales results at the end of one month this year - said the director of "Auto-Dealer-Yekaterinburg", Michael Chaplygin. - "Among the reasons - there is the state program of parc renovation, which reached the maximum capacity just the last month".

In the Top-20 at the end of October the KIA and UAZ have the best figures for one month this year. Therewith, Korean brand climbed up immediately two lines up - from sixth to fourth place. Skoda and Mitsubishi also were close to the maximum of this year.

In the premium-segment German trio can be split for the first time. Falling sales of BMW has been going on for several months, and if this trend continues, then by the end of the year the brand is able to bypass the Lexus, which is lagging behind currently by only 14 cars.

"BMW was waiting recently for the updated cars of series X that were slightly less than 50% of the sales of the brand in Russia, - says Michael Chaplygin. - "But for various reasons, the cars of this series have not provided the German brand with a strong position at the end of the year".

The share of Yekaterinburg in relation to the all-Russian sales of vehicles at the end of ten months, as before, is 3.2%.
