OREANDA-NEWS. HPCL has bagged the National Award for Excellence in Cost Management-2013 under the category of "Public Manufacturing: Organisation (Large)" from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), a premier cost accounting body of the country.

The ICAI presents these National Awards with an objective to felicitate and recognize corporate organizations in their journey towards excellence in cost management, and to acknowledge and honour the commitment towards inculcating and embedding an effective cost management culture within the respective organizations. The criteria for selection was best practices for resource management, efficient utilization of capacity and working capital, quality augmentation and precise information on performance. The selection was made based on evaluation done by a Screening Committee which included an independent Credit Rating Agency. The final selection was made by a panel of eminent Jury, headed by Dr. Justice Arijit Pasayat, former Justice of Supreme Court of India.

National Award for Excellence in Cost Management is a benchmark for Excellence in Cost Management and receiving this prestigious award is indeed a moment of pride for HPCL
