OREANDA-NEWS. Sberbank CIB announces the appointment of Alexander Kudrin as Head of Sberbank Investment Research, Managing Director. Prior to this he was Head of Fixed Income Research, Managing Director. Alexander will report to Maxim Safonov, Head of Global Markets Department, Managing Director Sberbank CIB. In his new role, Alexander will oversee Sberbank Investment Research's fixed income and equity research subdivisions.

Alexander Kudrin takes over from Paolo Zaniboni who headed the research division since 2007. Mr Zaniboni will now focus on his role as CEO of Sberbank CIB's London office, a key platform for Sberbank CIB's international footprint.

Alexander Kudrin has spent the last seven years as Head of Fixed Income Research, Managing Director. Alexander is recognised by the industry as a leading authority and is regularly voted as number one in his category in the annual Extel Pan-Europe Survey Rankings. In addition, Alexander Kudrin is one of the three analysts who has held leading positions in Institutional Investor's ranking for 10 years in a row.

At the Thomson Reuters Extel Pan-Europe Survey 2014, Sberbank Investment Research was voted Russia's Leading Brokerage Firm and Kingsmill Bond, Chief Strategist, Managing Director took first place as the Leading Research Analyst for Russia, with his colleagues, Andrew Keeley, Alex Fak, Oleg Maximov and Evgeny Gavrilenkov all taking top ten places in the same category. Additionally, Sberbank Investment Research sector teams and its analysts topped four sectors - Banks & other Financial, Economic & Macro, Equity Strategy, and Oil & Gas.
