OREANDA-NEWS. Plant "Renault Russia" in Moscow completed the production of hatchbacks Renault Sandero of the first generation. Production of model began in Russia at the end of 2009 and sales started in March of 2010. The car can still be bought from a number of dealers at a price of 380 thousand rubles, excluding delivery.

As the official representative of Renault in Russia informed "Za rulem.RF", the production of the first generation of Renault Sandero, as it was previously planned, stopped after the capacity of assembly of a new generation of Logan and Sandero at the site of AvtoVAZ in Togliatti reached the production volumes. At the "Renault Russia" in Moscow it was assembled more than 190,000 Sandero of the last generation.

At the same time Renault continues Logan assembly of the previous generation in parallel with the new generation of budget sedan. "While there is a demand for Logan of last generation, we will produce it, - noted the company. - "For a long time this model will not remain on the assembly line, but today, if we take the total number of orders for Renault Logan of both generations, the first generation enjoys quite noticeable popularity", - said earlier the representative about Renault Logan of the last generation.

Moscow enterprise Renault frees the capacity for new models and it has preparatory work now. "In the future, at the Moscow plant it is scheduled to begin the production of new products, but too early to say what it is", - noted in the company.

Currently Renault plant assembles Renault Duster, "old" Logan, Fluence, Megane and Nissan Terrano. The company in 2013 reached the production capacity of 180,000 vehicles per year. Due to the unstable economic situation, the production schedule for 2014 was revised. Investments in plant reached almost 500 million Euros.
