GAZ Group Encourages Best Employees
OREANDA-NEWS. November 28, 2014. GAZ Group, a member of one of the Russian largest diversified industrial groups - Basic Element, summed up results of the President’s Awards. The awards – bonuses – were given to employees of the GAZ Group Divisions and service companies for the most effective work aimed at development of the holding.
GAZ Group summed up results of the President's Award for the most effective work aimed at development of the holding. The award was established in 2014 in order to encourage employees for personal contribution to improving performance of the company, high professionalism, initiative and responsibility. Awards in the form of bonuses are handed out to employees of the GAZ Group Divisions and service companies.
In total, more than 90 candidates were nominated for the Award. The expert committee selected 18 laureates and nominees of the Award in six categories reflecting the main directions of the GAZ Group development strategy: sales development, cost reduction and continuous improvement of production, quality improvement and launch of new products with high export potential, improving the company image, employees’ training and high social activity.
Vadim Sorokin, GAZ Group President, awarded bonuses to the company employees following the results of the victory in six nominations: “For sales development”, “For labor efficiency enhancement”, “For mastering a new product”, “For high quality”, “For successful implementation of the project”, and “For high social activity”.
In the nomination “For sales development” the winner became Oleg Shklyaev, head of motorsport department in United Engineering Center LLC, with a project of restoration of the GAZ motorsport team, the nomination “For labor efficiency enhancement” was won by Lyudmila Lutfullina, foreman of the vehicle assembly area of the URAL Plant main conveyor, for development of measures to improve productivity.
The nomination “For mastering a new product” was won by Alexander Opanasenko, a leading engineer-stylist of United Engineering Center - author of stylistic solutions for the GAZelle NEXT exterior shape and interior, as well as for exterior of a panel van of the new generation. “For high quality” was awarded to Vladimir Prunsky, leading software engineer of Avtodiesel OJSC, for development and implementation of software for statistical quality control in the process of machining the YaMZ-530 engine parts, as well as software for quality monitoring and control in the assembly and testing of OM646engines.
In the nomination "For the successful implementation of the project" the award was given to Sergey Shatalin, Director for Production, Marketing and Service of Russian Buses-GAZ Group LLC, for active participation in the establishment of a system of service support and maintenance of buses during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Valery Skakodub, Director for Legal Affairs and Property Management of GAZ OJSC, received the award “For high social activity”- under his management the project of the GAZ Group Nizhny Novgorod industrial site road and transport infrastructure was implemented.

Their employment history may be short, but if an employee made a major personal contribution to achievement of the key objectives of the whole group, has implemented important projects – he/she is worthy of public recognition.
