OREANDA-NEWS. As part of the strategic partnership expansion, QIWI plc (NASDAQ: QIWI; MOEX: QIWI) acquires Money.Mail.Ru project from Mail.Ru Group (LSE:MAIL). After the completion of transition period all Money.Mail.Ru transactions will be performed by QIWI.

Money.Mail.Ru is a payment system allowing users to make instant payments for goods and services via web interface or apps. Mail.Ru Group's projects, such as VKontakte (VK), Odnoklassniki (OK) and Moi Mir (My World) social networks, support a variety of online payment options including Money.Mail.Ru, banking cards, payment terminals, and mobile phone payments. After the acquisition of Money.Mail.Ru by QIWI, a wide range of payment methods will still be available to users.

Additional details are to be determined during the integration of Money.Mail.Ru processing service with QIWI. Both companies see providing maximum convenience and payment security for users as their top priority.
