NEGPL Outsources Transport Monitoring Support to MAYKOR
OREANDA-NEWS. North European Gas Pipeline Logistics (NEGPL), a unified provider of integrated logistics services for the oil and gas markets, energy and industrial construction, transferred the maintenance functions of its vehicle maintenance monitoring and control to MAYKOR.
NEGPL provides the full range of logistical services for the construction of significant infrastructure projects across the country by supplying materials and equipment to any geographical point in the Russian Federation: from the shores of the Black Sea to the undeveloped regions of the Far East. NEGPL transferred its technical support functions to MAYKOR. These are responsible for the effective management of mobile production resources and ensuring the continuous centralized monitoring of the operation of specialized vehicles.
The provided package of services includes technical support for GLONASS/GPS equipment as well as access to software that can track the movement of vehicles across their entire routes in real time.
Technical support for navigation equipment is built-in according to a proactive Just-in-Time service. Thanks to the ability to monitor the functioning of systems in real time, MAYKOR specialists are able to quickly respond to incidents. This makes it possible to maintain on-board equipment with minimal downtime. Due to subscriber access to Telemate specialized software that was developed by MAYKOR, the dispatching service and NEGPL specialists are able not only track the location of vehicles in real time, but they can generate reports about the trip, traffic speed and actual fuel consumption.
Andrey Petrov, Head of the Transport Department at NEGPL, noted: "As a result of using the vehicle monitoring system, NEGPL has been able to reduce fuel costs by more than 20%. However, such results can only be achieved if the navigation equipment is able to function without any downtime. Timely maintenance and proactive service from MAYKOR minimize cases of equipment failure, making it possible to maintain control over our large fleet."
