OREANDA-NEWS. November 27, 2014. Board of Directors of MMC Norilsk Nickel approved corporate Anti-Corruption Policy. The Policy aims to ensure compliance with applicable anti-corruption laws and help to discover root causes of individual corruption cases to prevent future incidents.

Compliance with the Policy’s requirements is mandatory for all of the Company’s structural units and employees. In 2014 Norilsk Nickel became one of the first major companies to sign Anti-Corruption Charter of Russian Business.

In view of existing legal requirements and voluntary commitments, the Company is already working on development and implementation of anti-corruption programs targeting various aspects concerning its relations with business partners and government organizations as well as internal procedures.

Norilsk Nickel operates a corporate helpline and presently focuses on procurement system modernization issues and contractor audit (identification). Company is also committed to investigates all adverse incidents and plans to organize employee anti-corruption trainings.
