OREANDA-NEWS. November 27, 2014. CTC Media Inc. (“CTC Media” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ:CTCM), a leading Russian independent media company, appointed Ruben Oganesyan the Head of Peretz Channel effective December 11, 2014.

Ruben brings a wealth of experience in television. Since his appointment as the Chief Executive of U TV Channel in 2013, he has successfully repositioned it as a television channel for girls. Before joining UTH Russia, Mr. Oganesyan was Director of On – Air Promotion Department of TNT Channel from 2007 till 2013.

Starting January 1, 2015, Ruben Oganesyan will also assume the role of Deputy CEO for Strategic Marketing of CTC Media. Ruben will be in charge of broadcast and promotional marketing, as well as advertising campaigns for all CTC Media’s channels and their projects.

Dmitry Troitsky, Head of Peretz Channel, decided to leave the company effective December 10, 2014.

Ruben Oganesyan — Executive Biography

In 2014, Ruben Oganesyan received the Russian Media Manager 2014 award for successfully repositioning the U TV Channel and bringing it to a fundamentally new level.

Between February, 2013 and November, 2014 Oganesyan was CEO of U TV Channel. Mr. Oganesyan was Director of On – Air Promotion Department of TNT Channel from 2007 till 2012, where Ruben and his team at U TV received multiple PROMAX awards.

Between 2005 and 2007, Ruben worked in BBDO Moscow Advertising Agency. Between 2002 and 2007, Ruben was a leading writer of Rozygrysh program and many other TV projects. Between 1998 and 2001, Ruben was a copywriter with Radio 7 on 7 Hills.

Ruben Oganesyan holds a degree in Mathematical Economics from Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics.
