OREANDA-NEWS. A conference, “OAO LUKOIL Corporate Social Responsibility in the Volga Federal Okrug (district)”, was held today at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast (territory).

The event was attended by representatives of the territory's legislature, public associations, non-profit organizations, the mass media and of LUKOIL Group's regional organizations.

The agenda included the corporate philosophy of social responsibility and sustained development, a management system for social investments and charity, the past and future contests of social projects. A special emphasis was placed on the contribution to the district's economy and social sphere as a result of the programs implemented jointly by LUKOIL, the regional authorities and the general public.

The conference is the second one in a series of events to be held in 2014-2015 on the subject of corporate social responsibility in the federal districts where the company operates.
