OREANDA-NEWS. Metinvest Group, an international vertically integrated group of mining and steel companies, participated in Metal Expo 2014, one of the largest steel market exhibitions in the CIS.

Exhibitors included 650 companies from 35 countries. The exhibition was attended by over 30,000 customers including steel companies; pipe and wire rod producers; non-ferrous metal processing companies; steelwork producers; and construction, machine building and oil companies.

Metinvest's delegation included representatives of the Sales Directorate, sales companies (Metinvest Eurasia, Metinvest-Ukraine, Metinvest-SMC and Metinvest Distribution) and technical specialists.

Metinvest conducted over 450 meetings with clients from all of its key steel consuming regions in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and other CIS countries at Metal Expo 2014.

A conference was held at Metinvest's display stand for partners and guests. Representatives from Metinvest and industry experts presented reports on Metinvest's strategy for the development of rolled steel sales in Russia and Belarus, on new products, and prospects for market development.

“Metal Expo 2014 was very productive for us,” said Roman Rybalov, general director of Metinvest Eurasia, Metinvest's wholesale and retail sales channel in the Russian Federation. “The meetings we had during the exhibition gave us a wonderful opportunity to be closer to our regular clients and meet new ones, review the needs of our buyers and offer more comfortable partnership conditions. Our objective is to create valuable products together with our clients. Therefore, our major focus in the meetings was the development of technology and quality.”

Metinvest Eurasia was named at the top of the “Best Distribution Network” category at Metal Expo 2014.
