FAS Reports on Results of its “Hot Line”
OREANDA-NEWS. November 26, 2014. Last week there were 27 messages on FAS “hot line” about increased retail prices. In particular, 6 concerned increased process for fruits and vegetables, 6 –dairy products, 5 - poultry, 3 – beef and fish products, and 2 complaints were about sausages.
“A downward trend in the number of complaints is related to stabilization of prices for food products. Weekly monitoring of prices carried out by FAS regional Offices corroborates it”, pointed out the Head of FAS Department for Control over Agro-Industrial Complex and Chemical Industry, Anna Mirochinenko.
At the same time, due to complaints about increased buckwheat prices, FAS instructed its regional Offices to include buckwheat in their daily price monitoring. “The monitoring results can lead to inspections of buckwheat producers”, concluded Anna Mirochinenko.
