Belarus' Farm Output Raises 2.1% in Jan-Oct 2014 to Br116.5tn
OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' farm output increased 2.1% on the year in January-October 2014 to 116.5 trillion Belarusian rubles (USD 10.817 billion at the official exchange rate), a source in the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) told.
Sales of fattened cattle and poultry reduced 2.6% on the year in January-October 2014 to 1.208 million tonnes, milk output grew 1.1% to 5.265 million tonnes, and egg output went up 2.7% to 2.355 billion units.
The return on sales in the agricultural sector stood at 7% in January-September 2014 to compare with 6.9% in January-September 2013.
The share of loss-making agricultural companies in January-September 2014 accounted for 6.4% of the total number to compare with 3% in Jan-Sep 2013.
The value of overdue accounts payable in the agricultural sector stood at Br10.194 trillion (USD 946.555 million) as of October 1, 2014, which accounts for 21.63% of the total value of accounts payable in the country.
Accounts payable overdue grew 8% month on month as of October 1, 2014, up 32.3% year on year.
