OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2014. The 1st Extraordinary Shareholders’ General Meeting of MCC in 2014 was smoothly convened in Beijing.

The meeting was presided over by Chairman Guo Wenqing of MCC. The shareholders, members of Board of Directors, members of Board of Supervisors and senior management of MCC attended the meeting. Four proposals were reviewed and approved, for instance, Proposal on Election of Non-employee Director for 2nd Session of Board of Directors, and Proposal on Election of Non-employee Supervisor for 2nd Session of Board of Supervisors.
Chairman Guo Wenqing expressed sincere gratitude to the shareholders for their participation in this meeting, as well as their long-term support and understandings extended to MCC. Afterwards Chairman Guo Wenqing and President Zhang Zhaoxiang conducted detailed and communication and view-exchanges with the shareholders on the trend of MCC’s stock prices and the operational performance of overseas mines. At conclusion, Chairman Guo pointed out that, the efficiency-oriented principle of “Not Wasting a Single Day” reflects the spirit and working style of MCC, under which all the employees stick to the vision of “Focusing upon core businesses in building a better MCC”, and will bring about a perfect performance to the shareholders.

Approved by voting at the meeting, Mr. Guo Wenqing and Mr. Zhang Zhaoxiang were designated to be the Executive Directors of the 2nd Session of Board of Directors; Mr. Jing Tianliang was designated to be the Non-Executive Director of the 2nd Session of Board of Directors; Mr. Yu Hailong, Mr. Ren Xudong and Mr. Chen Jiaqiang were was designated to be the Independent Non-Executive Directors of the 2nd Session of Board of Directors; Xu Xiangchun and Peng Haiqing were designated to be the Non-employee Supervisors of the 2nd Session of Board of Supervisors. At the worker representative congresses convened on the same day, Mr. Lin Jinzhen was approved to be the Employee Director for 2nd Session of Board of Directors, and Mr. Shao Bo was approved to be the Employee Supervisor for 2nd Session of Board of Supervisors.
