OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2014. Cepsa officially opened its new "Trinitarios" service station in Pamplona today. The event was attended by the city mayor, Enrique Maya, and the director of the Cepsa Service Stations Network, Santiago Ruiz, as well as other representatives from the Company and the City Council.

The Company, which invested more than 700,000 euros to build this new service station, has sold over 450,000 litres of fuel and 1,500 litres of butane and propane in the first two months of operation.  These figures, higher than those achieved by the service station it replaced, reflect how well the new facility has been received.

The construction of the Cepsa "Trinitarios" service station was a response to the Urban Planning Agreement of the city of Pamplona, which proposed changing the location of the "Trinitarios" service station, which is firmly established in the area as it started operations in 1942, reaching sales figures of more than three million litres.

The new "Trinitarios" consists of a 200 m2 building, a Carrefour Express supermarket (71 m2), 4 tanks with 30,000 m3 of capacity for petroleum products, and 4 fuel pumps with 34 hoses for the 5 products on offer: Star Diesel, Optima Diesel, Star 95, Optima 98 and Autogas.
All original staff have been retained and bolstered by three new additions, forming a team of 12 professionals.

In the words of Enrique Maya “The importance of the opening of this new service station goes further than a business initiative, we are also collaborating to help the city to grow. That collaboration between the City and the Company has been key for the project to get to this stage. I would like to say ?Congratulations? to all those people that have made this possible today.”

Santiago Ruiz added: "Pamplona is a historical city where we want to continue to consolidate our presence and strengthen our commitment to Navarre. Cepsa has been present in the region for decades (more than half a century), offering a diverse range of energy services. We employ more than 80 employees and not only run more than 21 Service Stations throughout the region, but also carry out other activities like distributing butane, propane, lubricants and other Company products."

Cepsa has three service stations in Pamplona: Trinitarios, Pio XII and Baranain, with fuel sales reaching 3.1 million litres in 2013.
