OREANDA-NEWS. November 24, 2014. IET International Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Conference 2014 was held successfully in International Conference Center of CAERI, which is organized by IET, Chongqing Science and Technology Commission and British Consulate General in Chongqing, and co-sponsored by CAERI.  

Over 200 experts, senior managers in the field, and media participants came to Chongqing for in-depth exchange on “Developing the step change for large scale adoption and utilization”. On behalf of co-organizer, Chairman Ren Xiaochang addressed a welcome speech, and Vice President Zhou Zhou gave a report of “Current Situation and Next Five-Year Trend of Hybrid and Electric Vehicle”.

The conference focuses on the latest technology applications being developed in hybrid and electric vehicles; batteries, infrastructure and power supply as well as clean energy generation and storage; also challenges to government, enterprises and institutes during the application process and coping methods. Professor Ching Chuen Chan, Professor Phil Blythe, Denis Naberezhnykh, Roger Atkins, Dr. Colin Herron and other extinguished experts have shared their experience and innovative ideas.

Under-Secretary General Wang Yuguo from Chongqing municipal government, Consul-General Tina Redshaw from British Consulate General in Chongqing and CEO Nigel Fine from IET have been present at the conference and given speeches.
