OREANDA-NEWS. November 24, 2014. Mr Elman Rustamov, Governor of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan received Mr Valiollah Seif, Governor of the Central Bank of Iran.

The meeting participants discussed prospects of development of cooperation between banking systems of both countries, including cooperation between central banks, as well as financial – banking issues arising from diverse MoUs signed between two countries within the frames of the official visit paid by President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan.

CBA Governor highlighted that economic and banking ties between two countries are successfully developing. It is critical to deepen cooperation between central banks of both countries and overall banking systems. E.Rustamov detailed the guest on sustainable development of the Azerbaijani economy and the financial – banking sector.

Governor of the Central Bank of Iran highly appreciated the efforts done in the Azerbaijani financial banking sector and expressed his satisfaction with mutual cooperation. Mr V.Seif told that Azerbaijan and Iran are enjoying diverse economic ties which will surely continue in future.
