OREANDA-NEWS. November 24, 2014. At exhibition areas of "Uzexpocentre" the VIII International Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange (IIFCE) took place.

"Uzbektelecom" JSC took an active part in the event and presented its production companies: "Telecom Innovation" JV, "Olive Telecom" JV and "Telmax Electronics" LLC.

"Telecom Innovation" JV, located in the "Navoi" FIEZ, produces ADSL-modems and DLSLAM equipment for subscribers and automatic switching centers of "Uzbektelecom" JSC.

"Olive Telecom" JV is a manufacturer of mobile phones of CDMA 450 standard for subscribers of UZMOBILE branch of "Uzbektelecom" JSC, as well as set-top boxes for IPTV and tablets.

"Telmax Electronics" LLC specializes in development, designing and production of scientific, engineering and electro-technical products, intended for use in communication and telecommunication systems, as well as in production of goods for industrial and technical purposes for economic sectors, including information systems.

The products of these enterprises are widely used in telecommunication networks and by the subscribers of "Uzbektelecom" JSC.

To date, the overall rate of using international information networks has increased by 24% compared with the beginning of 2014 and amounted to 12.74 Gbps.

The number of ports set to provide fixed broadband access to the Internet raised up to 619.5 thousand and the number of used ports increased by 127.4%. The growth of these indicators will provide broadband multiple services (IPTV, video telephony, high-speed Internet, data transmission, the opportunity to watch HDTV channels, etc.).

A project of building more than 2,000 kilometers of fiber-optic broadband networks by modern technology with provision of convergent services such as video telephony, Internet TV, high-speed internet, watching HDTV channels, and others is under implementation. Currently more than 3,300 kilometers of fiber optic cable have been laid.

As in previous years, to submit proposals for partnership within the framework of industrial cooperation and exchange of experience, technical capacity and technological capabilities of the sector and most of industrial enterprises of the Republic of Uzbekistan have been presented.
