GE Appoints Four New Company Officers
OREANDA-NEWS. GE announced today the appointment of four new Company officers. GE has 196 officers globally who lead large revenue-generating businesses or are in critical technology or functional roles, helping to drive growth.
Harel Kodesh, 56, has been named vice president, chief technology officer, GE Software. Kodesh joined GE from Nurego, where he served as chief executive officer and founder. Prior to starting Nurego in 2013, Kodesh served as executive vice president of EMC Corp.'s Cloud business and chief executive officer of Mozy, an EMC subsidiary. He also served as chief product officer of Amdocs from 2003 to 2008. He holds a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel.
Colin J. Parris, 52, has been appointed vice president of software research, GE Software. Parris joined GE from IBM, where he held a series of leadership roles in IBM Systems & Technology Group and IBM Research. Most recently, he served as vice president of Systems Research for IBM Research. Prior to this role, he was the general manager of the Power (Unix) Systems Division and vice president of software development for IBM Systems & Technology Group. Parris holds an MBA from Stanford University (as a Sloan Fellow) and earned his doctorate in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California, Berkeley.
Sharis Pozen, 50, has been named vice president, global competition and antitrust counsel for GE Corporate Legal. Pozen joined GE from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP, where she served as partner. She also held leadership roles in the U.S. Department of Justice, serving as acting assistant attorney general of the U.S. Antitrust Division. Pozen holds a bachelor's degree from Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut, and earned her Juris Doctor from Washington University Law School.
Weiming Xiang, 50, has been appointed vice president, regional sales - China for GE Aviation. Xiang joined GE in 1992, where he held a series of leadership roles in sales and marketing for GE Transportation and GE Aviation. Most recently, he served as senior executive, regional sales - China for GE Aviation. Xiang holds a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering from Northwestern Polytechnic University in Xi'an, Shaanxi.
