Export of Moldovan Goods to Ukraine Decreases by 33,2%
OREANDA-NEWS. November 21, 2014. Such data are stated by the State statistics service of Ukraine, noting that during the same period, deliveries of Ukrainian products to Moldova decreased by 5.3%- up to USD625,4 million.
The trade turnover between Moldova and Ukraine in January-September 2014 amounted to \\$669 million, and the negative trade balance of Moldova with Ukraine in the first 9 months of this year made up USD 581,8 million.
It should be noted, that the Ukrainian side data are fundamentally different from the Moldovan statistics. So, according to the National Bureau of statistics, Moldova's exports to Ukraine in January-September 2014 amounted to USD 82.5 million, decreasing compared to the same period of the last year by 16.3%.
The import of Ukrainian goods decreased by 13.6%- up to USD 418,3 million. According to these data, the trade turnover between Moldova and Ukraine for 9 months of 2014 amounted to USD 500,8 million, and a negative trade balance of Moldova made up USD 335,8 million. Moldova supplied to Ukraine mainly wine products, ethyl alcohol, sunflower seeds, soybeans, tobacco, importing from the neighboring countries mainly electricity, petroleum products, steel goods, coal, flour and cigarettes.
