Kazakhstan's GDP Growth in 2015 to Reach 4,8%
OREANDA-NEWS. November 21, 2014. Kazakhstan's GDP growth in 2015 will reach 4.8%. This has been reported by the first Vice Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Marat Kussainov.
"It is expected that GDP growth in 2015 will amount to 4.8%, or 0.2 p.p. (percentage point - Ed.) below the previously approved estimates, the growth is expected to reach 5.3 - 6.7% in 2016-2019. On this basis, in 2015 nominal GDP is expected to reach 43 721,3 billion tenge, which is lower than previously approved in August index of 1 310,9 billion tenge with increase to 70753,6 trillion tenge by 2019 ," M. Kussainov said at the meeting in the Senate, where the estimates of socio-economic development of Kazakhstan for 2015-2019 were introduced.
According to him, it is expected that GDP per capita will increase from 13.5 million US dollars in 2015 to 20.8 million US dollars in 2019.
Vice Minister noted that an updated forecast of macroeconomic indicators has been formed considering revised target indicators of growth of economic sectors in 2014, current situation on world commodity markets, adjusted forecasts of international organizations for growth of global economy and dynamics of world prices for major export commodities.
"The inflation rate is stored in the same range of 6-8% with a consequent reduction in the medium term to the level of 5-7% in 2015," he added.
