OREANDA-NEWS. "SK Korocha" JSC, forming part of ABH "Miratorg", informs that its pork production exceeds 1 million tons over last 6 years.

Miratorg is pork production leader and one of the largest vertically-integrated agricultural holdings in the country, that invested over 110 billion rubles into development of national production within the strategy of import substitution.

"Svinokomplex Korocha" is the largest meat processing asset of the Holding, a high-technology facility with level of robotic application and production automation, unique for Russia. The plant ensures processing depth at the level of the world leaders of the industry and produces more than 300 product names for retail and corporate customers. Fresh meat in industrial packaging takes 35% share of the total scope of finished products to be sold within small-scale sale and retail chain stores.

The facility consequently increases share of consumer package products: high technology Case-ready plant with the capacity of 72 thousand tons is aimed at the final consumer, who imposes high requirements upon product mix, quality, package, convenience of cooking and meat availability.

"SK "Korocha" started operation in November of 2008 and consequently increased production, increasing efficiency at the same time. Now the plant is unconditional industry leader in terms of efficiency of labor. The facility processes 3 million pig heads per a year and our efforts are aimed at further cost saving and fine tuning of the whole production chain. This way due to the technological process efficiency increase, daily capacity of pork processing increased by 9% up to 9100 heads per 24 hours in November of the current year. This is pacing factor to control production cost, resulting in assurance of highest quality and availability of the products for consumers" - CEO of SK "Korocha Anatoliy Oleynik stated.
