OREANDA-NEWS. Turkmenistan will buy 1,492 units of trucks and special equipment "KAMAZ", as well as spare parts for the sum of 125 million Dollars. According to President of Turkmenistan, Gurbangula Berdimuhamedov, vehicles of the Russian plant is used widely in various sectors of the economy and "proved itself from the best side."

By the moment the car parc of "KAMAZ" in Turkmenistan has 8.85 million units, said the agency "TASS." During the period of presidency Mr.Berdimuhamedov (since 2007) it was supplied more than 5.5 million vehicles in the country. For their service in 2008 in Ashgabat it was established commercial and educational service center KAMAZ. Among the major buyers of vehicles there are enterprises of water utilities and the oil and gas industry, as well as the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior and the Border Service of Turkmenistan.
