OREANDA-NEWS. November 20, 2014. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) issued a decision on the case against “Kamchatnefteproduct” OJSC.

On 17th April 2014, the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Kamchatka region (Kamchatka OFAS Russia) opened proceedings against “Kamchatnefteproduct” OJSC upon a petition of Kamchatka Regional Authority. The elements of the violation included fixing retail prices for gasoline at refueling stations in the Kamchatka region in March-April 2014, that have signs of a monopolistically high price (Clause 1 Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”).

The case was transferred to the Central FAS Office for consideration. In May 2014 gasoline prices in the Kamchatka region went down. Having investigated the case, involving Kamchatka Regional Authority, FAS closed the proceedings.
