Bombay House Certified as Energy-Efficient Unit
OREANDA-NEWS. Bombay House, the headquarters of the Tata group, has been certified as an energy-efficient unit by the Confederation of Indian Industry. This recognition is a result of the completion of the National Competition for Excellence in Energy Management held on October 29 and 30, 2014, at Hyderabad. The competition was organised as part of the 15th National Awards for Excellence in Energy Management 2014.
Earlier this year, in March 2014, Bombay House became India's first heritage building - it was built in 1923 - to receive the prestigious green existing building gold rating awarded by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), under their IGBC Green Existing Buildings (Operations & Maintenance) rating system. Bombay House was given the rating for implementing measurable strategies and solutions in five categories: site and facility management, water efficiency, energy efficiency, health and comfort, and innovation.
The Associated Building Company is responsible for the management of Bombay House.
