FEZ Balti to Sign Contracts with Companies from Germany & Austria
OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2014. This was reported by the chief administrator of FEZ "Balti" Marin Ciobanu during the conference in the Ministry of economy, devoted to the activity of free economic zones within 9 months of 2014.
He said that both companies intend to produce electrical cables for the automotive industry. In particular, within the framework of the prospects of working with a German company (its name was not specified) it is planned to attract investments in the amount of approximately USD 50 million and create 4 million jobs.
Through the work with the Austrian company (the name was not specified), the total investment could reach USD20 million and can be create 1 million jobs. In addition, Marin Ciobanu spoke about negotiations with the Lithuanian company, which focuses on the production of fiberglass containers for biological wastewater treatment. The volume of investment would make USD 25 million and create 200 jobs.
The chief administrator of FEZ Ungheni-Business Natalia Epuras said that in their area, in perspective, is considered the possibility of cooperation with International Rail Transport freight and passenger cars and rail transport. Investments may amount to 300 million euros.
FEZ Valkanes, according to chief administrator Gheorge Cerven, is also aimed at the development and the parties also discuss the construction of cannery investors from the Czech Republic. The volume of investments in this project could make USD 500 thousand.
