OREANDA-NEWS. A delegation of the Republic of Turkmenistan headed by Myratgeldy Meredov, Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, paid a business visit to JSC TANECO on November 13. The delegation included the representatives of the Turkmenistan Ministries of Industry, Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, Energy, Economics and Development.

The guests toured the key facilities of the Crude Oil Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex. Leonid Alekhin, General Director of JSC TANECO, briefed the delegation on the activities of the enterprise. In particular, it was mentioned that the Company had started to produce Euro 5 diesel fuel in March of the current year. Within a few months' period the new products has become extremely popular with consumers. The TANECO diesel fuel is designed for buses, cars and trucks. The product is notable for the best cetane number, high performance and low temperature properties.

It should be noted that this is not the first visit of Turkmenistan representatives to TANECO. The interest in this strategic project of TATNEFT can be explained by the fact that the oil and gas sector in Turkmenistan is one of the leading industries of the country's economy. The country is one of the largest energy powers in the world and actively develops hydrocarbons processing.
