OREANDA-NEWS. Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. for the month of October 2014 came to about 1,067.802 million m3, up 4.4% to that in October 2013.

In the residential sector, volume totaled 181.202 million m3, up 9.6% from October 2013, due to lower average temperature, leading to the increased demand for water-heating.

In the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), volume totaled 181.989 million m3, down 6.4% from October 2013, due to lower average temperature, leading to the decreased demand for air-conditioning.

In the industrial sector, volume totaled 513.888 million m3, up 5.9% from October 2013, due to the increased demand for power generation.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 190.723 million m3, up 7.2% from October 2013, due to the increased demand of the other companies.
