OREANDA-NEWS. In November 2014 ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has opened its own warehouse of steel products in the West region of Ukraine (Ternopil). From its new, fourth storage yard in Ukraine, the company has already delivered the first one hundred tons of steel products. ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih's own warehouse in Ternopil has full range of steel products assortment which the plant produces.

ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has opened the new warehouse in the Western region in line with the strategy of development of its own distribution network, that the company started to implement in 2013. New storage yard of the plant holds 2 thousand tons of steel products, occupies the area of 1.5 thousands of sq. meters. Warehouse in Ternopil has the crane with carrying capacity up to 20 tons, its own railroad spur and also the possibility of trucking services.

Anastasiya Tatarulieva, Sales Director for Ukraine and CIS, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih: "We'd like to create quality model of distribution that provides constant availability of our products in the different regions of Ukraine. By the opening of our new warehouse in Ternopil we exclude logistic problem for ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih's clients in the Western region of Ukraine, decreasing the delivery time of steel products to a client and reducing the cost of transportation. New warehouse in Ternopil will give the opportunity to improve regional sale network and offer the channel of direct sales with the high quality of service to all our consumers in the Western region. Two of our storage yards which we have previously opened in Odessa and Kyiv are oriented for these regions, our warehouse in Kryvyi Rih region is the logistic centre for shipments all over Ukraine. Development of domestic market is and will be the priority for ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih and we are treating this with full responsibility in the current situation in the industry and in the country".

First ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih's warehouse of production has been opened in Odessa in August 2013, the second own storage yard has been opened in Kyiv in September 2013. Each of these two storage yards is occupying area of 9 000 sq. meters and has two cranes with carrying capacity up to 20-25 tons and also rail operation of its own. Minimum commodity stock that the company plans to maintain at these warehouses is 5 thousand tons of steel products. Storage capacities of each of own storage yards are 10 thousand tons of finished goods. In December 2013 ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has opened its third warehouse in Vilne village of Kryvyi Rih region. The plant's torage yard in Kryvyi Rih region holds up to 15 thousand tons of steel products and it is the biggest ArcelorMittal's wholesale and retail steel service in Ukraine. New warehouse of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih's steel products is the first own warehouse of the plant in Western region of Ukraine.
