UIMC Gets Ready to Export Acacia-E Troop Control System
OREANDA-NEWS. The United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation is presenting an export version of the Acacia-E automated ground troop control system at Airshow China 2014. The system can be used to control all of a nation's troops or separate military units both at peacetime and at war.
A mobile version of the system - Acacia-ME - was also demonstrated at the aviation and aerospace trade show in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province. The export version of the Acacia can be adapted for use with international weapons systems, the UIMC says in a press release.
Acacia-E automatic control system was developed by Concern Systemprom. The system is intended for automatic control of troops and headquarters of different branches of the military, including the air force and air defense, in one region, according to Andrey Reznik, the CEO of Control Systems Holding and Concern Systemprom.
Our system can help to achieve a full spectrum of combat objectives

"Our system can help achieve a full spectrum of combat objectives, including control of military groups comprising different branches of the military and their constituent military units, ensuring interaction between command nodes and different branches of the military, active forces and equipment, tactical deployment of troops, preparation of combat operations, including those that involve the use of precision weapons," Andrey Riznyk clarified.
Mobile and standard versions of Acacia can come with different options to suit different purposes - from controlling the entire military of a nation to controlling individual military units. The software has been developed for typical armed forces and control hardware, and also for typical complement of artillery and other units. The software can be adapted to match weapons systems made outside of Russia, making Acacia very appealing for overseas customers.
In addition, an automated control kit for air force and air defense (part of the Acacia-M automatic control system) is being demonstrated at Airshow China 2014. It comprises two integrated sub-systems - an automated command post and an automated headquarters. The system automatically transmits all the necessary data between the command post and the HQ, issues orders to put military units on high alert and combat orders. The system checks whether orders have been fulfilled, transmits information about enemy actions, about the situation in the air, on the ground, radio noise and countermeasures, and also about radiation, chemical and biological threats.
The automation kits can plan aircraft movements in advance, distribute targets among military units and issue orders to engage selected targets, perform preliminary navigation calculations, find solutions to ongoing tactical problems, perform calculations and provide reference data. The system can control all the subordinate unites: air defense missile systems, aircraft, radio, electronic and radar units, electronic warfare units, etc.
The system comes in modules that can be combined according to the needs and objectives of specific command posts and headquarters.
Acacia-E automated control system (and its mobile version Acacia-ME) can also be used in the times of peace to control military groups, to plan and verify implementation of day-to-day troop operations; to train members of the military and military units during tactical exercises and training; to make reasonable, educated decisions and develop plans for peacekeeping missions and missions to resolve conflicts of varying intensity. The system can be upgraded by enhancing data transfer capabilities, data processing performance and storage capacity.
The Acacia-E automated control system for ground troops is the export version of the Acacia system which has been in service with the Russian army since 2005.
