Dixy Group Demonstrates 29.5% Retail Revenue Growth in October 2014
OREANDA-NEWS. DIXY Group (MOEX: DIXY) - one of Russia's leading retailers of foods and everyday products -today announced retail revenue growth of 29.5% in Russian rubles in October 2014, and retail revenue growth of 25.8% in Russian rubles for the first ten months of 2014.
For the first ten months of 2014, DIXY Group retail revenue increased to RUR 182.9 bin (USD 5.1 bin) by 25.8% in RUR (10.9% in USD) year-on-year.
In October 2014, DIXY Group retail revenue increased to RUR 19.4 bln (USD 477.0 mln) by 29.5% in RUR (1.9% in USD) year-on-year.
Retail revenue of DIXY neighborhood stores increased to RUR 15.5 bln (USD 381.0 mln) by 33.7% in RUR (5.2% in USD) in October 2014 compared to October 2013.
Retail revenue of Victoria Division increased to RUR 2.5 bln (USD 61.6 mln) by 18.0% in RUR
(decreased by 7.2% in USD) year-on-year in October 2014. The growth was driven mainly by retail revenue from Victoria supermarkets which increased by 20.1% year-on-year in RUR (decreased by 5.5% in USD) and amounted to RUR 2.1 bln (USD 50.4 mln) in October 2014.
Retail revenue of Megamart Division increased to RUR 1.4 bln (USD 34.4 mln) by 10.4% in RUR
(decreased by 13.2% in USD) year-on-year in October 2014.
For the first ten months of 2014, the Company opened 294 stores net, including 25 store openings net in October 2014.
As of October 31, 2014, the Group had 2,093 stores under operation, including 1,966 DIXY neighborhood stores, 92 Victoria stores, 1 CASH store, and 34 compact hypermarkets MegaMart and MiniMart.
As of October 31, 2014, the Group increased its selling space by 22% year-on-year to 714,026 square meters.

Revenue numbers do not include VAT.
Revenue numbers in US dollars for October 2013 were restated due to restatements of the average exchange rate for that period. This restatement did not have any impact on the revenue numbers denominated in Russian roubles.
Starting from the 1st of November 2013, the opening hours of a major part of DIXY stores were reduced, in the course of stores' working time optimization. As a result, the time of operation of DIXY stores was 6% less in October 2014 compared to October 2013.
