OREANDA-NEWS. Car production in Russia in 2015 will grow by about 1.5%, according to the Minister of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov. According to him, this year the Russian car industry can at best remain at the level of last year.

"I cannot predict, unfortunately, the growth of production, and even more the market as a whole, we believe that we level up the maximum, at least we will reach "break even" on the results of the last year", - said the minister, commenting on the effectiveness of the recycling program.

Mr.Manturov also said that funding for the program of scrapping of old cars this year may be increased, but he did not specify how much - the decision will be taken at the end of November. To date, by the program of updating of the parc it was sold more than 115 thousand cars of different types, says the agency "TASS."

Among the measures to support the automotive industry, in addition to this program, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade called the bill of limiting the life of the commercial vehicle and replacement of vehicle tax to environmental, as well as the allocation by subjects of subsidies for the purchase of transport with NGV engines.
