OREANDA-NEWS. November 14, 2014. As it was informed in the National Bureau of statistics, in September 2014, the volume of industrial production increased in comparison with September of the last year by 7.4%. In general for 9 months of 2014 production volumes in the mining industry increased by 3.9%, in processing industry - by 6.3%.

According to the NBS data, enterprises for production of food and beverages in January-September 2014 increased production by 14.5%. In particular, the production of vegetable and animal oils and fats has increased 2.6 times. Production, processing and preserving of meat and meat products increased by 25.3%. Production of non-alcoholic, soft drinks, mineral waters increased by 11.2%. Processing and preserving of fish, crustaceans and mollusks registered growth of 10.8%. The production of dairy products increased by 8%, processing and preserving of fruit and vegetables - by 6.1%, manufacture of cocoa, chocolate and sugar confectionery products - by 5.8%.

At the same time, there was registered reduction in the production of alcoholic beverages - by 27.7%, wine - by 22.7%, products of milling industry, starches and starch products - by 10.9%, pasta, noodles and other flour products, 7.3%- breads, cakes and fresh confectionery products - by 1.6%. According to the NBS data, in January-September 2014 production of chemicals and chemical products increased by 46%, wood processing and manufacture of products of wood and cork, except furniture; manufacture of articles of straw and other vegetable plaiting materials increased by 35.6%, manufacture of textiles - 24%, clothing by 14%. Steel industry output grew by 12%. Furniture production increased by 9.2%, paper and cardboard - 7.5%, footwear - by 4.5%, computer, electronic and optical products - by 2.7%.

Tanning and dressing of leather; manufacture of luggage, handbags, saddlers products; dressing and dyeing of fur increased by 2.7%, production of rubber and plastic products increased by 1.1%. At the same time, for 9 months. In 2014 production of tobacco products decreased by 39.9%, machinery and equipment - by 15.9%, pharmaceutical products - by 15.8%, electro-equipment– by 13.9%. Manufacture of metal structures and products, except for machinery, equipment and installations decreased by 3.9%.

In the energy sector there was a decline of production by 2.3%. In particular, the supply of steam and hot water supply decreased by 8.4%, production and distribution of electricity - by 0.5%. Data on the development regions indicate that the industrial production in Chisinau municipality for 9 months of 2014 fell by 1.2%. In the Northern region it increased by 35.3%, in the Central region increased by 11.9%, in the southern region decreased by 15%, and in Gagauzia it decreased by 3.6%.
